For Thanksgiving they year, we drove to Tennessee to visit our family. We left Ramona about 5am in the morning on Friday and arrived in Cookeville around 8pm on Sunday night. We were there all day on Monday thru Thursday, then we left Cookeville at 5am on Friday and arrived home around 8pm on Sunday. The total trip was 31 hours each direction, so about 3 full days of traveling. The kids did extremely well, we did not have to stop nearly as many times as I thought we would.
While in Tennessee we stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Heap's house. We got to visit with all of our family that lives there. Sara and Owen were able to ride on Grandma Heap's horse, Sienna (Thanks to Uncle Derek). We had a great Thanksgiving dinner with all of our extended family that lives in Tennessee.
