On New Years day, we went on a family hike at Torrey Pines State Park. The 3/4 mile hike started at the top of a hill and descended down to the beach. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time. At the end of the trail, where the trail meets the beach, There were some tide pools that we played in. We had timed the hike perfectly so that we arrived at the tide pools right at low tide. The kids had a good time poking and prodding at the sea anemones. After playing at the beach for about an hour, we made the 3/4 mile hike back up the hill. All the kids did a great job on the hike, even Emmett hiked most of the way.
